If you give a pretzel a Kiss...

You’ll fall in love. I first had this treat about 5 years ago. Now days Pinterest is crawling with pictures of, of… I really have no idea what these little buggers are called.

I’ve decided to call them “If you give a pretzel a Kiss”.

Whoever thought these gems up is a pure genius. You’ve got salt, you've got crunch, you’ve got chocolate, you've got deliciousness. If you’ve read my past recipe posts (cheese quesadilla or pizza), you probably noticed I like making/baking versatile items. This one is no different. You are sure to find a pretzel/chocolate concoction or two that will please everyone. However, if you do come across a naysayer, I suggest tossing them a rice cake so their bland taste buds have something to enjoy too.

Here’s what you need:
  • Shaped pretzels (circles, squares, etc)
  • Small chocolate candy (Kisses, Reese’s, Rolo’s, let your creative juices flow here)
  • M&M’s (even these could be substituted with something, Reese’s Pieces, York Peppermint Patty Drops, again let the juices flow)

Preparation:
  • Preheat oven to 200°
  • Place parchment paper or a baking mat on a cookie sheet
  • Place pretzels on sheet and add a Kiss (or whatever you decided to use) to each pretzel
  • Place in oven for approximately 5-7 minutes. The Kiss should be quite soft, but not entirely melted.
  • Remove from oven and immediately add an M&M (or whatever you decided to use) to each piece of chocolate, gently pushing the M&M into the Kiss.
  • Chill for at least 20 minutes.

Sit back and let your family and friends devour them. Hide them, hide them real good and eat them all yourself.
